What to Bring? What should you pack for your dog's stay?
FOOD: Please bring your dog’s normal food for the duration of their stay. If you do not provide a scoop, we will use ours, which is a 1 cup sample scoop from Purina.
PLEASE PACK YOUR DOG'S FOOD IN A HARD PLASTIC CONTAINER SUCH AS TUPPERWARE. We will sanitize the outside of the container at check in and check out (COVID PRECAUTION)
We recommend that you send more than enough food. Any extra food will be returned to you when you pick up your dog.
If your dog is prone to upset stomach when boarding, we highly recommend that you send them with Purina Forti Flora (probiotic). We usually have it in stock here and can administer ours for $1 per dose.
If your dog is due for flea/tick preventative or heart-worm preventative simply send it with them marked with the date when they should have it administered and we will administer it.
Wolf Mountain Kennel: Items In Kennel Policy
COVID PRECAUTION: We will no longer accept any beds or bedding from home. If your dog prefers a soft bed we can provide one for them. We aim to minimize transfer of items of everyone's safety in this uncertain time.
Send items at your own risk. While we will make every attempt to return everything to you, but any item sent with your dog MAY NOT BE RETURNED TO YOU. PLEASE DO NOT SEND TOYS, we have plenty of toys here for the dogs to play with.
Dogs may bring smaller items such as kongs, edible chews, or non edible chews IF they can be safely left unsupervised with those items. Those items can be left in the kennel for the dog to enjoy.
Please only send items that your dog can be left safely unsupervised with, as we may not always be able to supervise them with these chews. While dogs may enjoy having chew items in the kennel you are assuming the risk of leaving dog unsupervised with this item. If you are unsure, please do not send chew items with your dog.
-bully sticks -antler chews -bone chews -kongs
-If your dog is trained on an E Collar or a bark collar, your dog should bring this with them.
What will my dog do all day?
After the dogs have had breakfast and some time to digest their meal, they will be rotated out for activities all day long. Activities include:
-playing with their friends
-hiking on our 60 acres
-snuggling on couches
Where will my dog sleep? Does my dog have to go in a "cage"?
Inside our kennel building, we have individual kennel suites for the dogs. Dogs need to be separated for safety and comfort when they are unsupervised. Your dog will be assigned a suite as a bedroom and this is where your dog will stay any time he/she is not out with us doing activities. Dogs get tired running and playing, and this is their private space to go and rest. Our kennels are spacious and extremely clean. The indoor area is heated or air conditioned as needed, depending on the season.
