Puppy Kindergarten is an important part of socialization and helping your new family member gain confidence and learn new skills. Training your dog early, and including the whole family, is a key component in bringing out the best in your new best friend.
Our puppy class is designed for young puppies, generally between 12-18 weeks of age. The exercises being taught include sit, down, brief stays, come, and walk on leash without pulling. We provide guidance on how these exercises can be used at home.
We also address typical problems such as biting / mouthing, house training, fear periods, socialization, and other important aspects of raising your puppy.
Keep in mind, although your puppy is attending the class with you, most of the instruction during the class is for you. Since your puppy will be really excited at class, especially the first few weeks, most of their learning will take place at home as you repeat these exercises.
*We require your puppy to have proof of two combination distemper and parvo vaccinations prior to starting class.At minimum, puppies attending training should have started their distemper/parvo series, and puppies age four months old or older should be current on their rabies and Bordetella vaccinations as well.
