Spellcast Believe We Are Magic, STAR Puppy, CGC, TKN, VSWE, BTD, TD, DJ, SN-C
"Pixie"
Pixie is the half sister to my beloved Bodhi, through their sire CH Cedarwood's Rockin Good Thyme (click here to go to his page). I went to Spellcast and met their dogs and I was so impressed. I was excited to be able to get her, and I am so grateful to Spellcast Labradors for the opportunity. I really couldn't be more pleased with Pixie so far.
She has been an absolute pleasure to train. She is smart, funny, and full of life. She loves to learn and work. She is brave, she has plenty of drive, she loves to try new things. She took her first leap off the big dock during a competition and jumped seven feet. Not bad for her very first try! She lives for the water and is a retrieving machine. She is brave, enthusiastic and versatile. She really has a can-do attitude!

Pixie is a tracking dog! I could see her using her nose so I did a little tracking training with her and she is a natural. She started with the Beginner Tracking Dog test through ASCA as a puppy. Perhaps one of my proudest moments on this track was that she found some animal bones alongside her track. She sniffed them and then went back to work of her own accord and finished her track! That's some work ethic for a 10 month old puppy. At 15 months she passed AKC Tracking Dog test. She motored through this test with absolute confidence and I had to jog to keep up with her. She was super accurate and finished in five minutes. She was in heat for the test, but allowed to run last. Didn't slow her down in the least.

She has an incredible nose and an incredible love and aptitude for scent sports-- tracking, scent work. I casually started her on odor at home. Having never practiced away from home, I took her to a scent work trial and she aced four runs. Two interior, two exteriors. The judge called her a "good little worker". And she sure is. Whatever you throw at her, she'll give it a 100%.
She is in training for service work alongside her brother, Bodhi. She has already filled in as a working service dog while her brother was having a medical procedure done and was off duty for a few days.
HEALTH TESTING- see below for certificates:
We know through Embark testing and testing of her parents that Pixie is genetically clear for all heritable disorders that can be tested for through DNA in labradors, including dilute.
She has had a normal CAER eye exam, and a normal Echocardiogram.
She is OFA Good/Normal (hips/elbows) She is a super hardy, healthy dog. She is very active, sound, and never has an upset stomach.
